‎The program combines 24 weeks of hospitality, tourism and customer service related study with a 24 week co-op work placement in an entry level front-line cooperative education position in a hospitality, tourism or customer service organization. Through this combination of in-class and practical on-the-job training, students develop their communicative competency, intercultural abilities, a global outlook, professional skills and leadership aptitudes.



Students will complete the following six courses in their study term:

1. Canada, Culture and Work

2. Customer Service, Sales and Marketing 3. Travel, Tourism and Hospitality

4. Managing Events, Attractions and Teamwork

5. Tourism Trends and Impacts

6. Tourism Based Businesses and Workplace Communications



Earn Money for Expenses While Studying

You will be given permission on your study permit to work part time (20 hours per week) while studying. You can do this part time work in all 48 weeks of the program, in addition to your 600 hour co-op work practicum, and earn money to support your living costs during the program. Students must complete a 600 hour work practicum to graduate from this program. Students typically do their work practicum in a hospitality, tourism or customer service organization as these jobs allow students to develop communication, culture, professional and personal skills. Jobs are typically low skill, service positions in Vancouver, Whistler, resorts areas of BC and Alberta and sometimes in Ontario. Estimated earnings: $9-$14/hour on average‎. Living cost for entire program duration including accommodation is around $8, 000.



‎Pre-requisites

- Age: Minimum 19 years

- English Level: CEFR B1, TOEIC 650, IELTS 4-4.5, TOEFL ibT 52-64, Cambridge PET (Merit)

- Account statement or ‎that of sponsor must be 10, 000 USD or more in Naira eqivalent

- WAEC or B.Sc is fine
