The Beauty Pageant: The beauty pageant tagged “Ugie Carnival Queen Beauty Pageant” is an event that celebrates the virtues of the Edo woman, her beauty,
intellect, personality and talent. It displays the tenacity, grace and industrious nature of the Edo woman and promotes the understanding of the culture and
values that has made the Edo woman the pride of households in Benin from time immemorial.
There have been two editions of this event with winners for the two editions going home with mouth-watering prizes. Miss Samantha Aipoh, (a pharmacist
graduate who is currently on her national year assignment in Delta State) was winner for 2012 and Miss Osamede Igbinoba (300 Law student from University of
Benin) is the current queen. Miss Osamede Igbinoba’s tenure expires 31st December, 2014.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Participants for the Ugie Festival Queen, must satisfy the following criteria.
Must be from Edo state
Must posses a minimum of high school education
Must be female
Must not be pregnant
Must be of sound physical and mental health
Must be between the ages of of 18-25
Must have no criminal record or pending charges
NOTE:
All complete entries are to be returned with the following enclosure
One copy of 5 x 7 portriat photograph of applicant
One copy of 5 x 7 full length photograph
Photocopy of academic credentials
Photocopy of birth certificate
